In the reading Owning our Education, the keys to ownership can take different forms and skills that need to be fostered and developed. For example, In my journey as a writer, I have been able to experience growth, my growth has been attributed to many factors such as self-motivation, determination and persistence would say that my growth this quarter can be described as a snail growing out of its shell because at the beginning of the quarter I was confined to my own writing and didn't feel comfortable sharing it with my peers. As time went by I became more comfortable and embraced the uncomfortable and towards that, and I broke off from my shell as I explored different materials that enhanced my learning. The target audience for my blog is new students who are still finding their way and experiencing new learning techniques and my message to them is that learning encompasses a wide range of things such as idea development and how a particular discourse community functions and adopting those will definitely lead you to the right direction.
I do see technical writing in my career path, as an aspiring Health IT professional I would need to be familiar with this kind of writing. I would need to be able to write for a professional audience. Since I want to pursue a career in the medical field, I do believe that technical writing would be very relevant because the majority of the writing is technical which involves clinical and basic research. This may include research-related, disease or drug-related, patient educational materials, the promotional literature of certain drugs, and publication articles like peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts.

It's great to hear that you are becoming more comfortable in sharing your writing. It takes a lot of patience and practice but you seem to be on the right path to great success. I see you did the exercise for one of our books! But definitely right as a Health IT its important to be able to relay important information is a professional manner!
